October Gardens is a new Egyptian city of the fourth generation, located in Giza Governorate, and administratively affiliated to the New Urban Communities Authority. It was established by decision of the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities No. 746 of 2017, as it was part of the 6th of October City. Its area is about 41,780 acres (169.08 km²) located between the Cairo-Fayoum Desert Road and the Oasis Road. The population of October Gardens City is about 220,000 people, and the target population is to reach about 2.5 million people when the city is fully completed. It is located next to the cities of 6th of October and New 6th of October, and begins at the intersection of the Ring Road and Al Wahat Road, and its entrances are from Ahmed Zewail Road, as the road separates the October Gardens neighborhood and the South Wahat area, which is expected to be separated to form an independent city. The city has several main entrances from Al Wahat Road, which are: the wholesale market entrance, the Dr. Ahmed Zewail entrance, and several entrances from Fayoum Road, starting with an entrance after the Giza Public Botanical Garden, then several entrances to the Central Security Camp and Dahshur Road.
